Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator DBA with deep expertise in Oracle GoldenGate to support missioncritical enterprise applications and largescale database environments The role will be responsible for Oracle database administration GoldenGate replication architecture performance optimization disaster recovery planning database migrations and ensuring high availability of businesscritical systems
The ideal candidate should have strong experience managing Oracle databases in complex enterprise environments including Oracle RAC Data Guard Exadata and GoldenGate implementations supporting realtime data replication and migration initiatives
Key Responsibilities
- Oracle Database Administration
- Administer monitor and maintain Oracle Database environments 12c 19c and above
- Install configure patch upgrade and maintain Oracle databases across Production DR UAT and Development environments
- Manage Oracle RAC ASM Data Guard and Exadata platforms
- Perform capacity planning storage management and database health assessments
- Implement and manage RMAN backup restore and recovery strategies
- Ensure database security compliance and governance standards are maintained
- Oracle GoldenGate Administration
- Design implement configure and support Oracle GoldenGate replication solutions
- Manage Extract Pump and Replicat processes across heterogeneous environments
- Monitor replication performance and resolve latency synchronization and data consistency issues
- Configure bidirectional and unidirectional replication architectures
- Support zerodowntime database migration and cutover activities using GoldenGate
- Perform GoldenGate patching upgrades performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Lead replication testing validation and disaster recovery exercises
- High Availability Disaster Recovery
- Design and support High Availability HA and Disaster Recovery DR solutions
- Plan and execute Data Guard switchovers failovers and role transitions
- Ensure replication integrity and business continuity across primary and DR environments
- Conduct periodic DR drills and validate recovery processes
- Performance Incident Management
- Troubleshoot complex database and replication issues
- Perform Root Cause Analysis RCA and implement permanent corrective actions
- Analyze AWR ASH OEM and GoldenGate reports to optimize database performance
- Participate in critical incident Major Incident Review MIR and Post Incident Review PIR calls
- Provide proactive monitoring and preventive maintenance recommendations
- Migration Transformation Initiatives
- Support database migration projects involving Oracle DB2 Exadata cloud and hybrid environments
- Participate in application modernization and cloud migration programs
- Develop migration runbooks cutover plans and rollback strategies
- Ensure successful execution of database and replication migration activities with minimal downtime
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary onsite DBA liaison for customer teams architects infrastructure teams and application owners
- Coordinate with offshore database and middleware teams
- Provide technical guidance mentoring and operational oversight
- Participate in governance architecture and operational review meetings
