Powder Coat PainterThis role focuses on industrial powder coat painting in a spray booth environment on a consistent shift schedule. You will hand paint pre-loaded parts using a spray gun, ensuring high-quality, even coverage and adherence to established finishing standards. This is a hands-on production position that requires attention to detail, safe work practices, and comfort working in a paint booth for most of the shift.Responsibilities include:Hand paint metal or industrial parts in a spray booth using powder coating equipment for approximately six hours per shift.Pull pre-loaded racks of parts into the spray booth and position them properly for efficient and accurate coating.Apply powder coat evenly to all surfaces of each part, maintaining consistent thickness and finish quality.Follow established industrial painting procedures, including proper spray gun operation, distance, and movement techniques.Perform basic paint preparation tasks as needed to ensure parts are ready for coating.Inspect coated parts visually to confirm coverage, finish quality, and adherence to specifications, and rework as necessary.Use and maintain spray guns and other powder coating tools in a clean, safe, and functional condition.Wear required protective equipment, including paint suit and helmet, and eventually a respirator if needed, in accordance with safety guidelines.Work efficiently to meet daily production targets while maintaining high quality standards.Follow all safety, housekeeping, and operational procedures within the paint booth and surrounding work area.Essential skills include:Hands-on experience with powder coating processes in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Proficiency using spray guns for powder coating or industrial painting applications.Experience in industrial painting, including understanding of coverage, finish quality, and basic paint preparation.Ability to perform repetitive hand-painting tasks in a spray booth for extended periods while maintaining accuracy and consistency.Capability to follow detailed work instructions and safety procedures related to powder coating and industrial painting.Comfort wearing and working in full protective equipment, including paint suit, helmet, and respirator when required.Additional skills and qualifications include:Experience with powder coat preparation and paint prep processes.Prior work in an industrial paint environment or manufacturing setting.Familiarity with operating and cleaning spray guns and related coating equipment.Strong attention to detail and visual inspection skills to ensure high-quality finishes.Reliability in adhering to set shift schedules and production requirements.Why work here?You will join a stable industrial operation that provides clear responsibilities, consistent full-time hours, and a structured work schedule. The primary focus is on powder coating parts that are already loaded on racks, which you will move into the booth for painting. You will wear a paint suit and a helmet equipped with air conditioning and a built-in light, and you may be fitted for and use a respirator if the painting mask does not provide sufficient protection. The work involves standing and moving while painting for extended periods in a production environment. Shift options include a day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and a third shift from 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. The facility operates with standard industrial safety and cleanliness practices appropriate for a powder coating and industrial painting operation.Job type and location:This is a contract to hire position based out of Greenfield, IN.Pay and benefits:The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
